Naturopath Sydney

Naturopathy is the practice of preventing, assessing and treating conditions of the human mind, body, and soul. By integrating conventional health sciences with a range of natural therapies and traditional medicines, naturopathy treats the patient’s mental, emotional and physical states for a lasting effect.

The foundation of Naturopathy is the philosophy of the healing power of nature. This means the body has its own innate healing energy and with the help of naturopathic treatment, the body can repair itself and recover from illness if it is in a healthy and supportive environment.

Sydney naturopath, Lindsay Braid treats a wide variety of complaints from period pain, to acne to arthritis, with services like herbal medicine and nutrition.  Lindsay has a special interest in conditions associated with stress, anxiety and mood disorders, as well as women’s health and hormone problems, such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Endometriosis, Fibroids, PMS and all aspects of women’s health from adolescence to menopause and beyond; as well as digestive disorders and fatigue.

At Sanatio Naturopathy I will support and inspire you to achieve the health results you want, from weight loss to endless energy! There is a way to be truly healthy and feel fantastic. • (Sensible) sun buddies. Vitamin D is the sunshine vitamin 🌞

When your skin is exposed to sunlight, it makes vitamin D from cholesterol. The sun's ultraviolet B (UVB) rays hit cholesterol in the skin cells, providing the energy for vitamin D synthesis to occur.

The best time to get the good rays is before 10am or after 3pm for 10-15mins.
An experiment with 3 groups each had either sunshine, Vit D supplement and oily fish, found all groups had their vitamin D increase around the same amount.
Vitamin D is crucial to a healthy immune system with majority of us deficient to a certain degree.
The sun is free, just be careful you don’t over do it!

  • The Acne Face Map👩. The acne face map originates from Chinese/Ayurvedic medicine theory. 👉So often your skin will break out in certain areas on your face and those areas are sometimes related to certain organ systems in your body.
Sometimes your acne is actually telling you that there are certain imbalances from within that you need to address.

  • You know what’s better than a bucket load of supplements...? eating a rainbow
You may have read how important vitamin C is for a healthy immune. With most suppliers sold out... orange trees are still producing fruit 🍋🍊🍒🥝 and although toilet paper is fairly scarce you can still get your hands on a heap of fresh produce.

Vitamin C is found in citrus, capsicum, kale, kiwi’s and cherries to name a few.
Vitamin C contributes to immune defense by supporting various cellular functions of both the innate and adaptive immune system.

  • A good time to focus on some positives and things you can do to improve your overall all health. The healthier you can be, the better your body deals with any illness.
1) eat a rainbow. Loads of dark greens, fresh fruit and vegetables. In particular look to increase garlic, onion, ginger, turmeric, slow cooked meals and vegetables, think nourishing food like chicken soup.
Foods to avoid, refined sugar and processed food. ..
